Collection: ANTOINETTE POISSON
The creators
Co-founders and artistic directors of A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson, Vincent Farelly and Jean-Baptiste Martin are both heritage restorers specialising in wallpaper. Since 2012, they have been reviving the savoir-faire of domino paper by creating A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson.
It is on the site of a historic house in Auvergne that they discovered fragments of domino paper under layers of wallpaper that had been accumulated over the centuries. To reconstitute it, they plunge into the history of « dominoterie » and become passionate about this artisanal technique which they exhume from forgetfullness.
Under the brand name A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson – in homage to the Marquise de Pompadour, born Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, a lover of art and wallpaper, who lived when the domino papers flourished – Vincent and Jean-Baptiste blockprint in their Parisian workshop and create designs for famous brands such as Gucci, Ladurée or Diptyque.
It is all the charm of the intimate interior decorations of the 18th century that this passionate duo bring back to life.
