Late 18th early 19th Century. Painted iron metal advertising display sculpture in the form of a Napoleonic bicorne hat. An original toleware painted hat trade shop sign for a French military uniform outfitters.
Dating from 1810 c.
Truly wonderful and unique piece, this trade sign of great character was hung outside an outfitters' shop and has achieved a lovely patina.
Untouched original painted condition.
