Léon De Pape, or Leo De Pape, was a Belgian artist born in Bruges in 1852 and died in Schaerbeek in 1890. He was a painter. Education at the Academies in Antwerp and Brussels, where he received a prize for figure painting in 1880. Painted, among other things, genre scenes, marines and landscapes. Became a teacher at the Academy in Mechelen. Was posthumously represented at the "Exposition Rétrospective de Peinture et de Sculpture" in Schaerbeek in 1908 with De Landloper (drawing). Mentioned in the Lexicon of West Flemish visual artists.
